How to specify the ordering of your nodes in a Sankey diagram

There are a couple of different options for how you can display the nodes in your Sankey diagrams:

    1
Navigate to the Format settings and select an option from the Mode panel (you can follow these steps whether you are making a Sankey or an Alluvial diagram).
    2
With the Node Order setting, you can change how your data is ordered in the Sankey.
    • Match data sheet will —as far as possible—  sort the nodes as they appear in the datasheet.
    • Reduce overlaps adjusts the order depending on how much you want to reduce the overlapping of your nodes. With this option, you can choose the number of iterations. The larger the number, the fewer overlaps. Do keep in mind that this will override the order of your data set.
