How to add a graph to a bar chart race timeline

Adding a graph to your timeline can give a categorical overview of developments over time. Users can also explore interesting data points by clicking on them in the graph jump to that point in time.

To add a graph to your timeline:

    Make sure that you have assigned a column under the Category settings in the Data tab. If you don't have a separate column for categories, bind the column that you have used for Labels.

    Go to the Graph settings within the Timeline & animation settings and select Show.

    You can also change the background color of the timeline and the graph, and switch between curved and straight lines.

    To change the height of your graph, scroll up a bit to the top of the Timeline & animation settings and change the height using the Graph height setting. For example, the graph above has a height of 10.
