Which browsers we support

For  creating visualizations in the editor you will need to be on a modern web browser such as Chrome or Safari, but published and embedded visualizations should render fine on any browser back to IE11. This article gives some additional details about both contexts.

Creating visualizations in the editor

The editor application where you create Flourish visualizations is designed to work on all modern web browsers back to the following versions.

If you visit the editor on an old unsupported browser such as Internet Explorer, you will see a page like this:

Published and embedded projects

When it comes to embedding published Flourish projects on your site (or sharing them on public.flourish.studio), don't fret about readers with older browsers not being able to see them. Generally speaking, published Flourish content will display fine on Internet Explorer 11 (and on older versions of all the browsers above), though in a few cases there may be small differences in behaviour when using IE11.

Note that some of our visualization templates use WebGL for rendering 3D graphics (e.g. in our 3d map templates) or larger datasets (e.g. Scatter template in WebGL mode). A small number of companies block WebGL graphics in Microsoft browsers inside their corporate networks. If you have problems viewing WebGL graphics speak to your network administrators.
