How to set your story to autoplay on load

By adding an additional HTML attribute to your embed code, your stories can autoplay when the page where they are embedded is loaded.

To do this:

Create a story and make sure that the Autoplay setting has been enabled.

Make sure you've enabled the Play on load setting

You can set the duration of each slide (in seconds) in the top right-hand corner of the editor.

Publish your story and copy the auto-generated embed code.

Paste the embed code into your webpage. Done! Your story will now automatically play on load.

TIP: If your visualization has been embedded somewhere further down on your web page, you can refer to our Flourish for developers page to have greater control over when Flourish graphics load.
