How to highlight specific bubbles

If you're trying to bring attention to a specific item or a group of them in your bubble chart, you can highlight them by following these simple steps:

In the Highlights section of the Settings panel, toggle the Enable highlighting option on.

In the Highlight bubbles text box, write all the items that you want to be highlighted. These will need to match the column you've bound as your Labels.

Then, you can customize the opacity of the highlighted bubbles and the non-highlighted ones to increase the contrast between them by setting a value for the Opacity of highlighted bubble and Opacity of all other bubbles settings.




TIP: Create a Flourish story to show both the highlighted and the non-highlighted version of your chart to emphasize your point.
